The project was made in collaboration with Carmel Frenkel Ind, which specialized in cardboard packaging solutions. The brief was to design a Stool from one sheet of cardboard (2x1.5 m). No glue allowed. The stool's height should be 40 cm.
My inspiration came from the posture of Origami cranes. One of the main challenges I faced during this project was to design a layout that meets the industrial standards.
I wanted to use as little material as I could so I was thinking a lot about strong and light structure.
It took multiple attempts to find the correct folding scheme. This is how it looks flat.
